About

Baudilio Liriano-Chávez

Writer. Communicator. Servant of the Word.

Born in Tenares, Dominican Republic, on August 20, 1958, Baudilio Liriano-Chávez has spent a lifetime moving between two callings — poetry and radio. From his early days in theater and writing to decades leading broadcasting projects across the Americas, his work has always returned to one belief: words can bring people closer.

His Story

A Life Shaped by Words

Baudilio’s writing reflects a deeply personal search for meaning — moving between philosophical reflection and spirituality, hope and uncertainty, the visible experiences of life and the emotions hidden beneath them. In 1972 he emigrated to Boston, where his early involvement in theater and writing opened the path to a life devoted to both the arts and communication.

From the Microphone to the Page

Radio taught him the power of the spoken word. Poetry gave him a place for the words that needed to remain on the page. Echoes of Silence brings those two worlds together — the result of decades of observation, learning, memory, and contemplation.

“Words can bring people closer” — whether spoken aloud or read in silence.

Whether spoken aloud or quietly read in solitude, words can preserve a memory, express what the heart cannot say, challenge injustice, or illuminate a difficult moment.
